Choose-your-own activities: outdoor laser tag, indoor games, gym-time, nap-time, quiet time, time on the lake or in the game room… whatever you need most.

What to bring:

  • A relaxed, open heart & mind

  • Bible & pen

  • water bottle

  • jacket

  • comfy indoor & outdoor clothing

  • bedding with a sheet to cover either a double or twin mattress

  • toiletries

  • a camping chair-- let us know if you need one.

  • optional Items: snacks, board games/puzzles, coloring books, fan or noise machine if you're a light sleeper. And anything else that brings you joy.


The first carpooling group will meet at the Ministry Center at 3:00pm and leave at 3:15pm. We may see if there is a second group who wants to leave later. Supper is at 6pm, Session starts at 7pm, so anyone who needs to go up later can do that and get there in time for the session. (We can make sure you get supper).

SPEAKER BIO: Jillieta Norwood was born into a Christian home and grew up in Litchfield, MN where her father was a pastor of a small rural church. She is a graduate of Evangel University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and music. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology from the University of North Dakota. In 2016, she graduated from Liberty University with a Master’s in School Administration and Supervision and most recently graduated with a Doctor of Education in Christian Leadership from Liberty University.


Jillieta has over 20 years of experience in public and private education which has spanned across multiple states and Europe. In addition to education, she spent some time as a research assistant in a biology lab at the University of North Dakota before the Air Force moved them to Germany where she returned to education. In 2016, she became a Teaching Leader for Bible Study Fellowship, a worldwide Bible study organization, and planted an Evening Women’s class in Edwardsville, Illinois. She is currently the Teaching Leader for the Brainerd Day Women’s BSF class. She is also the Head of School at Stâre Academy in Baxter, MN.


Jillieta lives in Fort Ripley, Minnesota with her husband Kris who is a retired Air Force pilot and a current pilot for Delta Airlines. Her oldest son is a Lieutenant in the United States Army, stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, and her youngest is a dental student at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Her main goal in life is to be ready to say “Here am I, send me,” whenever God calls her name. She loves to learn and is an avid reader and traveler.



Return: 2:30pm or so on Sunday.


Financial Breakdown: $90, with $45 deposit due by Mon, Oct 9th.


Modern Facilities: Each dorm-style room has 3 bunk beds and an attached bathroom. 


Food Questions? We would also be happy to share the menu with anyone who needs to know-- please ask!   Refrigerator will be available if you need to bring your own food.  


Sensitive about Snoring or Noise Machine? We will have a couple of rooms designated for those who snore and heavy sleepers who don't mind it, so no one has to worry.  


Allergy Requests: We need to keep the retreat center latex-free and fragrance-free
